    Hello! You said that the abdominal muscles tense to “push” air onto the ligaments. However, it seems to me that, on the contrary, by straining they keep the diaphragm from rising and thereby remove excess air pressure on the ligaments, thereby prolonging the sound.

    Tienes razón que varias mujeres han contribuido a esa “violencia estética” pero cuando se refieren a que es el patriarcado es que “todo el sistema” aplaude, admira la estética de las Kardashian, la estética delgada. Aclaro que esa es la interpretación que creeeooo que percibir de estas mujeres (personalmente no me parecen atractivas ni sexys) la idea es que a alguien que busca estar delgado se le aplaude, a alguien que no le interese ser delgado se le juzga y ese juicio ya es casi inconsciente. A la mayoría de la gente nos parecerá inmediatamente más atractiva, interesante y preferible la delgadez que la gordura, solo después de analizarlo conscientemente pensaremos en indicadores de salud. Y mucho de eso es por la forma en que se promocionan las “dietas” como algo para adelgazar

    It's a very good lecture. Thank you. I have often heard about the head and the skull, as a main resonator, the so called head voice in the opera. How does the air go to the skull? My vocal coach says that I need to raise the soft palette and let the air go through my nose in the skull. She speaks of a certain rolling of the air in the head especially on the high notes to make the sond softer... this is hard for me to get. May be I just misunderstand. It seems to me contradictory...

    • @BackSpaceChiropracticFitness
      @BackSpaceChiropracticFitness 4 месяца назад

      Thank you for your comment! The air doesn't go to the skull as such, rather we have air filled cavities or "sinuses" which exist within our skulls. When using head voice, there is a forward upward placement of the voice (more a concept to be imagined), which, by aiming at the forehead and nose can give the sense of resonating or vibrating these skull cavities. I hope that helps

    I always get nervous and my lower back becomes very stiff and my body shakes and my heart do his best to reach 180 for about 15min after during and before presentation, and until now I couldn’t overcome that. Sometimes my blood almost stop going back to my brain! Need your advice and support. Then I will have this effect of shaking or body pain and lower back pain for the rest of the day! I do deep breath I do keep calm I do try faking it I do go to washrooms sometimes But still no benefits!

    Thank you. Very interesting information, without any nonsense. What specific muscle should a singer use to stretch the vocal cords and achieve a high note? When I try to hit a high note, I feel a lot of tension in my throat. It seems to me that this is not right and I am straining muscles that should not be strained. Vocal teachers say that the muscle effort to extract both high and low notes should be the same, but I don’t understand how to do this, intuitively I strain harder to extract a high note.

    • @BackSpaceChiropracticFitness
      @BackSpaceChiropracticFitness 4 месяца назад

      I would say that you need to focus more on your lower abdomen, and having good support in these muscles. higher notes are not "higher up" in the body, it is just an additional stretch of the vocal cords and laryngeal tilt mechanism, some people find vowel modification exercises helpful. Try Richard Miller's book - solutions for singers
